
A Memorial Symposium
A symposium in remembrance of Paul Lauterbur, who received the Nobel Prize for the discovery of Magnetic Resonance Imaging - research done while he was a member of the the Stony Brook Department of Chemistry, will be held on
Friday, September 7, 2007.
The plenary lecture will be presented by the Nobel Laureate, Richard Ernst, who is Professor Emeritus at the ETH in Zürich Switzerland. The lecture has been designated a President's Lecture.
PRELIMINARY PROGRAM
The symposium will take place in the Student Activity Center Auditorium at the University at Stony Brook. It is supported by the Offices of the President, Provost, Vice President for Research, Dean of Arts & Sciences and Dean of Medicine. Support from Varian Associates is also acknowledged.
